Aldo Luongo (b. 1940, Argentina) “La Café Recoletta” (1985) Limited-edition color screen print, hand-signed in the lower right, numbered (145/250) in the lower left, double-matted and framed. The work of art depicts people seated at a sidewalk café seemingly enjoying the good life. The piece is 30 x 42 inches, and in the frame, it measures 43 x 52 inches. Luongo is known for portraiture, artwork depicting athletes and sports (especially soccer), and he was commissioned twice to create images for the Olympics. His works are bold, impressionistic, and colorful while also conveying a sense of fluidity and intensity.
